Hey there! I am Amartya Dutta and I am from the beautiful city of Guwahati in the state of Assam, India. I am a Graduate Student in the Department of Computer Science at Virginia Tech. I am presently a Graduate Research Assistant at the Knowledge Guided Machine Learning (KGML) Lab at Virginia Tech where I work under the guidance of my advisor Dr. Anuj Karpatne. I received my Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati where I worked with Dr. Ferdous Ahmed Barbhuiya. I am also a a graduate student researcher working with the Imageomics Institute.
My research interests are in Deep Learning and Computer Vision. I am also interested in interdisciplinary applications of AI. My research currently focuses on Image Segmentation and incorporating Knowledge Graphs into driving the segmentation process. I have previously also worked on Augmented and Virtual Reality and have built applications based around them using Unity.

Worked on establishing relationships between the different parameters across hybrid cloud systems with a future proposal for an effective framework to balance workload in hybrid cloud systems, optimizing energy usage while making it cost-effective and seamless.
AiBorne Tech.
Developed interactive Augmented Reality portals using ArCore that have features such as prompts to enter passwords while trying to enter a secure place through the portal, allowing users to interact with virtual objects.

Developed an Interactive Virtual Reality Tour using Photogrammetry and Photospheres while taking into consideration the UX in VR environments.
